Description
N-Acetyl-Cysteine is an altered form of the amino acid cysteine and is the precursor to the most powerful antioxidant in the body, glutathione. NAC is used to promote detoxification for this reason, as it is more readily absorbed than glutathione which makes it more powerful than taking glutathione itself.
